HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026 🎉

Dear Esteemed Alumni,

I warmly welcome you all into the New Year 2026 and wish every one of you a year filled with good health, growth, peace, and remarkable achievements.

As we begin this new chapter, I would like to sincerely appreciate you for your patience and understanding over the past months. We acknowledge and sincerely apologise for the continuous postponement of the Alumni elections. Please be assured that this delay was not a deliberate act, but largely due to the fact that many of us were genuinely pre-occupied with various academic, professional, and personal responsibilities.

I am pleased to inform you that the Alumni elections will now take place this January 17 2026, strictly in line with the provisions of our Alumni Constitution. This process is important, and your participation is crucial.

Elections are the backbone of a strong, representative, and accountable alumni body. When you participate, you lend your voice to the future direction, leadership, and impact of our alumni association. I want to assure you that every vote will count, and the process will be transparent and credible.

I therefore strongly encourage all alumni to be actively involved — not just as voters, but as contributors to the growth and relevance of our alumni community. This is your association, and its strength lies in your engagement.

As we move forward, our desire is to see a more active, vibrant, and united alumni body — one that supports the university, empowers members, and creates meaningful opportunities for all.

Once again, Happy New Year 2026. May this year bring you prosperity, fulfilment, and renewed commitment to our shared alumni vision.

Let’s make 2026 a year of participation, progress, and impact.

Warm regards,

Dr. Arc. Christian Odefadehan,

President,

Caleb University Alumni Network (CUAN).

CUAN Presidential Address, Election nomination & Reunion Update

Dear Esteemed Alumni,

We live in perilous and uncertain times. Just last week, there was a widespread rumor that the rapture would happen. Many across the world began to sell their properties or give them away in preparation. But as you know, the rapture did not happen.

The Bible reminds us in Matthew 24:36 that:

> “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Interestingly, on September 23rd, 2025, we witnessed heavy rainfall that caused severe flooding in many parts of the country. News headlines continue to bring troubling updates daily. Yet, if we reflect deeply, we will realize that there are still countless things to be grateful for. Even the ability to have internet data and connect with this message is a blessing in itself.

In the midst of tribulations and trials, let us remain strong and united. I want to encourage you— we are in this together. We are all still in our youthful and productive years; let us not allow the worries of the world to weigh us down. Instead, let us find strength in one another and continue to build lasting bonds as alumni.

On a brighter note, preparations are already underway for our upcoming Reunion. The executives and I are working consciously to make this a memorable reality. The theme for this year’s reunion is “OWANBE”—a celebration of life, fun, and togetherness, with food, drinks, live music, and that authentic oleku vibe. Entrance is free, but beware—exit fee is ₦10,000 (just kidding, but come prepared to have fun!).

In addition, we will soon begin the nomination process for new executives. Leadership is about continuity, and we want the baton passed smoothly to the next set of capable hands. Kindly join our alumni platforms and follow our social media handles to stay informed about the nomination process and other important updates.

I must say, writing to you always brings me great joy. I sincerely wish you success in all your endeavors. I may not personally know any governor yet, but I am certain that among us are future governors, presidents, chairmen, and chairwomen. That is why I am always rooting for you.

Please, when you get to your “paradise,” don’t forget your classmates—because truly, sharing is caring.

As you all know, I am a man of few words. Until we see again, stay blessed, stay connected, and stay inspired.

God bless you all.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Arc. Odefadehan Tayo Christian

President’s New Month Message – June 2025

The Will of God

Dear Esteemed Alumni,

Welcome to the beautiful month of June—the second half of the year beckons with new hope and divine possibilities.

Let me share a short story that reminds us all of the mysterious and powerful workings of God’s will.

There was once a rich man who had a deeply religious driver. This driver firmly believed that everything—whether good or bad—was always “the will of God.” He didn’t hesitate to say this in every situation. One day, while the boss was operating a factory machine, he had an accident that led to a finger being cut off. While consoling him, the driver said as usual, “Oga, it is the will of God.”

This infuriated the boss so much that he immediately fired the driver. As he was walking away, the boss asked sarcastically, “So, is this sacking also the will of God?” And the driver, unshaken, said, “Yes sir, it is.”

Fast forward one month later, on a solo visit to the factory, the boss was kidnapped. He was to be used for ritual sacrifice, but as they examined him, they noticed one of his fingers was missing. According to their tradition, only a complete person could be used. They let him go.

Realizing the role of that accident, he called the driver to thank him—and the driver calmly replied again, “Sir, it is the will of God. If I hadn’t been fired, I would have driven you and I would have been used instead.”

Moral? What we may see as delay, denial, disappointment, or even pain, could be God’s hand at work—protecting, redirecting, and preparing us for something greater.

Though I will not go into the depth of theological explanation, please remember that God’s will comes in three forms:

His Permissive Will

His Persuasive Will

His Perfect Will

Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

So, dear alumni, as you step into this new month:

Accept the past

Focus on the present

Pray for the future

This June shall be a better second chapter of the year for you. I am rooting for your success, your growth, and your joy.

With all the love you can ever imagine,

Dr. Arc. Christian Tayo Odefadehan

President, Caleb University Alumni Network
